Cultured Visuals

These photographs are made from found images in "women's" magazines. They are taken with light shone through the back of the paper, to show both sides of the page simultaneously, exposing superficial constructions and mixed messages of vanity and consumption within our visual culture, as well as an underling conflict between desired and desiring women.
