Invasion
These prints are taken from twisted and overlaid pages of "women's" magazines, using the humble photocopier as a form of cameraless photography. Playing with movement as the image is being taken, they are quickly pulled and stretched in ways that begin to challenge the quiet passive beauty of the female models, turning them into active angry women, plotting and fighting their way out as other elements invade the scene. They are then printed using solvent transfer techniques which draws out the high contrast and density of the pieces.
