AWARD SHORTLIST: JERWOOD PHOTOWORKS AWARD...
Through my work on this project with public participants, I was shortlisted for the prestigious Jerwood Photoworks award with my proposal of a "Domestic Archive on Infertility"

The Jerwood/Photoworks Awards are a biennial research and development opportunity supporting artists working with photography to make and exhibit new work. The award offers a substantial bursary with access to a production fund, a pool of international mentors, and a national touring exhibition. The Awards are a collaboration between Jerwood Charitable Foundation and Photoworks, supported by Arts Council England.
I was shortlisted with my proposal of a domestic archive of real lived experiences of infertile women today, around themes of time, embodiment, identity and space. Working with consenting participants, this would depict stories, past or present, through creative photographic documentation, to help reveal the invisibilities of this condition and expand definitions of (m)otherhood and the maternal.
